Nana Ama McBrown and Deloris Frimpong Manso

The third edition of the Ghana Outstanding Women Awards (GOWA) was held yesterday 16th October 2020 at the Alisa Hotel.

The award scheme is organised yearly to honour women in Ghana who are devoted to the welfare of humanity.

The night saw personalities like Deloris Frimpong Manso popularly known as Delay and Nana Ama McBrown receiving awards.

Actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown, won the Outstanding Woman Brand Influencer of the year.

Delay, a tv presenter and entrepreneur also bagged the Outstanding Woman TV Personality of the year.

The tv presenter who was in tears after receiving her award recounted her homeless days.

According to Delay, her journey through life has been rough as they were times where she had nothing to eat and no place to stay.

She expressed gratitude to God and dedicated the award to her sister and her late mother.

“It’s been a rough and long journey. I am in tears because only God knows what I have been through and I am grateful to God.

From being homeless to being the owner of houses, from not knowing what to eat to being a business owner. It’s a miracle. I dedicate this award to my sister and to the blessed memory of my mother”, Delay recounted amid tears.

Deloris also won the overall award, Outstanding Woman of the year. Gloria Safo also won the Outstanding Woman in Film at GOWA 2020.
