Reece James is one of the player that stealing the shows at Amex Stadium last night as he netting his first goal of the 2020-21 Premier League season, giving Chelsea a 2-1 lead in 56 minutes against Brighton.

The 20-year-old delivered a stunning outside-of-the-box missile, one which left Brighton stopper Mat Ryan helpless as Chelsea retook the lead just moment after conceding at the other end.

Werner won a penalty on 21 minutes after Blues capitalised on Steven Alzate’s loose pass. The German forward was upended by Mat Ryan and Jorginho sent Albion keeper the wrong way with hopping spot kick.

Leandro Trossard scored equalised goal for Brighton through his left-footed strike flew under Arrizabalaga on 54 minutes.

The visitors restored their lead just 100 seconds later when defender Reece James fired brilliantly into the top corner.

Kurt Zouma doubled Chelsea’s lead when his volley deflected off the outstretched foot of Adam Webster and in 66minutes.

Last season, the 20-year-old full-back made 37 appearances in all competitions, sealing his true first-team breakthrough, and Frank Lampard was left astounded by his goal in Monday’s opener.
