Another outstanding performance from Thiago Silva during past weekend as he secured Chelsea back-line in 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The Ex-PSG defender worked well in a new-look back-line that featured fellow new signings in goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and left-back Ben Chilwell, alongside Kurt Zouma and Cesar Azipilicueta.
It was first clean sheet for Chelsea in the Premier League this season in five attempts and it comes after the Blues conceded 54 league goals last season.
Against Palace last weekend, Silva made more clearances (4) & more touches (120) than any other Chelsea players and he also contributed 5 recoveries and two interceptions.

His outstanding performance against Crystal Palace last weekend leaving head coach Frank Lampard to heaped praised the Brazilian veteran defender.
‘I’m really pleased with the clean sheet for everyone involved, not just the goalkeeper and the back four,’ acknowledged Lampard.
‘We didn’t give a team who are very dangerous away from home many chances to score, which is great for the focus of the team.
‘Thiago and Kurt looked very good, very composed. Thiago has that great experience and we saw that. He is obviously still in his early days in terms of fitness, but let’s see how that partnership works.
‘I want to find some sort of stability with the back four, of course I do. Those two showed how well they can do it, but that needs to be sustained.’
