Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic has leading Chelsea final preparations for mouthwatering encounter with Southampton at Stamford Bridge latest today.
The Blues players were returned to full group training yesterday morning after the lads away on international duty returned to the camp, with the focus now turning towards Saturday’s Premier League clash with Saint’s.
Chelsea will play host the Saint’s at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, looking to build on our 4-0 home victory over Palace just before the international break.
Christian Pulisic, who made his return to action as a second-half substitute in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace, looked sharp, while Hakim Ziyech, who made his return to action as a second-half substitute in Morocco’s 3-1 win over Senegal on Friday, was also involved at Cobham and could be pushing for a Premier League debut at the weekend.
The Morocco international is yet to make his debut for the club after picking up a knee injury in the pre-season friendly against Brighton.
But now, after making a substitute appearance for his country during the international break, Ziyech is finally ready to make his competitive club debut.
Ben Chilwell, who withdrew from England squad for their match against Belgium and Denmark due to injury, was also looked sharp at Cobham training base on Friday while striker Timo Werner was also made major part during Frank Lampard’s side final preparations.
Pulisic, who made his return to action as a second-half substitute in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Crystal Palace, expected to make starting eleven against Saints this afternoon.
Club record signing Kai Havertz, who produced an impressive performances during international duty with Germany, was also involved in training and is expected to start alongside Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic in Blues attacking lineups against Southampton this afternoon.
