Despite Mikel Arteta’s side suffered away defeat to Manchester City on Saturday evening, there were some impressive displays from several Gunners players particularly Bukayo Saka, who caused a lot of problems for City back-line.
The academy graduate has recently been on international duty with England for the first time and does not seem to have impacted him negatively.
Last night, against Pep Guardiola’s men, Saka was one of Arsenal’s best players, constantly trying to push the envelope with a bold display and toward the end of the game remained one of Gunners’ biggest threats as they chased an equaliser.
Saka, 19, took two shots and both were on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 82.9%, took 58 touches, attempted three dribbles, made two tackles and one clearance and put in three crosses.
Against Manchester City last night, Saka came twice close to leveller and was twice thwarted by goalkeeper Ederson, but he was Gunners’ brightest spark and showed glimpses of his potential, including a mouthwatering one-two with Aubameyang to beat the offside trap.
